Seema Malhotra MP has used a Westminster Hall debate to raises concerns over Euratom following the EU referendum, where there is now some question over whether the UK will still be able to access radioactive materials used for medical purposes.

In the debate she highlighted that nobody brought up leaving Euratom on the doorstep during the EU referendum. Being a member of Euratom effects 78,000 UK jobs in the nuclear industry as well as access to imported radioactive isotopes that are widely used in health scans and treatment in the NHS.
