As Home Secretary in the coalition and Conservative governments, Theresa May presided over cuts to both police numbers in general and armed police officers in particular. There was a 13.1% fall in the number of police officers since March 2009 but a 18% drop in the number of armed officers. Full numbers are available from the UK government. You can see the video here:
